Open Letter to Ooni of Ife.

HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, OBA BABATUNDE ENITAN ADEYEYE OGUNWUSI, Ojaja II: OPEN LETTER TO YOUR HIGHNESS I salute your highness for measures being put in place to restore peace and harmony in Ile-Ife, the cradle of the Yoruba. Following your 10 days historical visit to the United Kingdom, Aláyélúwà, Àrólé Oòduà Your Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Akande Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, I hold that your highness should have cancelled the trip in order to foster peace and unity in Ile-Ife following the Yoruba and Hausa communal clash last week. Your ever-present presence would in no small measure helped to pacify the situation. The crisis was quite an unfortunate one and unexpected within the expected. Though it has been scheduled that Your Highness and entourages will be in the UK for 10 days historical visit. However, you would have rescheduled the visit. Olórí-Aládé-Gbogbo, "kò sí ìgbà tí a dásọ tí a kò rílẹ̀ fi wọ" tótó ṣe bí òwe Kábíèsí. The visit could have been rescheduled till serenity is brought back to the domain already boiling. Jìgbìnì-bí-àtẹ-àkún, i showered encomium on you last Thursday, 9th of March 2017, while speaking with journalists in Lagos for calling Hausa people in Ile-Ife your subjects. I am not tipped for this, am only saying the minds of Ifes. I wonder if the Queen of England would not have cancelled or deferred any planned trip if the United Kingdom was on fire. Atáyé-sọ-bíi-igbá, the inauguration of the Truth and Reconciliation Committee was a good move to help the situation on ground but your physical presence would have spoken volume and would have helped to restore the post-crisis issues amicably. Olú-ayé-àdìmúlà, a lot is still going on in your domain that need urgent attention. Òkè lẹ́yin mọ̀ọ̀rẹ̀ Ọ̀jájá fìdí ọ̀tẹ̀ jàlẹ́ Ọmo ò joyè, kóyè wuníi jẹ Ọba Babátúndé Ẹnitan Àkàndé Ògúnwùsì Òléwà lówó. Thanks, ADÉFARE, DANIEL ÌYANUOLÚWA Concerned Ife.
